We deliver this course through one day of Theory and one day of hands on Practical
On successful completion of the 2 Days course you will receive a Statement of Attainment certifying your completion of the National Recognised Training.
Develop the skills and knowledge required to operate a mobile chipping or mulching unit to chip or mulch timber refuse such as branches and other timber waste left after felling operations. Work is often completed in a forest or forest farm setting.

Our theory training is held at our Head Office in Hallam. It is a bright, comfortable space set up for learning and discussion. You’ll find plenty of seating, a projector for presentations, and individual workbooks so you can follow along with the trainer. The layout makes it easy to see, hear, and take part, whether it’s a group discussion or note-taking.
Experience hands-on learning in our simulated training environments with DNA Training Solutions, set across more than 200 acres of lush vegetation. Our practical training locations in the Yarra Ranges are available year-round, with sites in Beaconsfield and Don Valley.

Please bring relevant PPE to your practical training days including the following items:
• Chaps / Chainsaw pants
• Hard hat
• Safety glasses
• Hearing protection
• Cut class 5 gloves
• Sunscreen
• High Visibility Clothing
• Safety boots
We use the STIHL MS 261 C-M Professional Chainsaws as our chainsaw of choice for forming your skills from the STIHL SHOP in DANDENONG
We own our VERMEER BC700XL Wood Chipper to take onsite so that you can chip what you prune on the day! The BC700XL is the smallest machine in Vermeer's wood chipper line, the BC700XL design is based on operator feedback and focuses on productivity advantage and ease-of-use.
